Wednesday, June 8

Louise and Lana practiced Dream a Little Dream, Sentimental Journey and a surprise song. They decided to practice these and The Lion Sleeps Tonight for Wednesday, June 15.

Louise, Lana, Lorna, Heather and likely Tom and Lori will be attending on Wednesday, June 15 so we will hold our practice on the second level of the art gallery.

Can't wait to find out what the surprise song is :)

Wednesday, June 1

Lorna, Louise, Heather, Lana and at the very end, after baseball, Lynn attended.

We practiced the songs we plan to perform as an ensemble at the Ukulele Strum and Picnic on Sunday  Lana and Lorna will prepare song sheets to hand out at the event for anyone wanting to play Wagon Wheel, Silver WIngs, Rain and Snow and Margo's Cargo with us.

We also practiced a song by Emmy Lou Harris, and, from the Vancouver Circle book, Farewell to Nova Scotia, April Showers and Love Potion Number Nine.

Heather will bring along some stands for Sunday. We will have lunch at 12 noon with the Carman Collegiate Strum Club playing at 12:30, followed by out group, the WInnipeg group and the an open strum.

We will next meet upstairs at the Golden Prairie Arts Council building on Wednesday, June 8.

Wednesday, May 11, 18, 25

Taxes were done so Lorna could finally attend our May meet ups but school field trips and baseball had some of our other members busy on Wednesday evenings for these dates.

We will next meet upstairs at the Golden Prairie Arts Council building on Wednesday, June 1 (tonight).

Reminders were sent to the Ukulele Club of Winnipeg about out Ukulele Strum and Picnic on Sunday, June 5th. There is some interest in about at least 10 players in attending. We will also have a few students from the Carman Collegiate Strum Club able to play along with Heather and Lynn at 12:30.

It would be nice if our Wednesday evening group could choose three or four songs to play on Sunday on stage. We can of course join in on any group strums as well.
