We have the following people for the Sonatrice concert Dec 4. at 2pm: Lynn, Louise, Lana Lorna, Ian, Cathie, Tom, Lori, Heather, and Karen.  Kim is uncertain at this point. Please let us know if there is anyone else considering attending. They will try to put us early in the program because of other commitments by some of the group members.

We deleted Mele Kalikimaka and Silent Night from the program, much to the chagrin of Cathie and Lana (not really!)

Besides the performance songs-- we played Unclouded Day, Hallelujah, Jolene, Aint No Grave, Silver Wings, Leaving on a Jet Plane, Tonight You belong to Me (in C), Walk Away and Margo's Cargo and maybe others that I forgot.

Hope to see you this coming Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the train station and remember we perform at the United Church for the Sonatrice concert which starts at 2 and we should be early in the program We should likely meet at the church earlier if possible to tune up.

Members present played through the list for the December 15 performance and then played Leaving on a Jet Plane, Four Strong Winds, Silver Wings, and more.

We  will have strum club again this Wednesday, Nov. 16 at the gallery.

Please let us know if you can attend the ALC Christmas dinner on Dec. 15.

Some of you may have been inspired to play some Leonard Cohen songs after the singer/songwriter's passing last week. I will bring the sheet music for Dance Me to the End of Love to our next meeting and have also emailed copies.

Lynn and I were wondering if once we have performed our current commitments if we should perhaps one meeting a month have people bring and teach the rest of the members a new song.

See you Wednesday :)

Kim and her son Kai, Louise, Lorna, Lana, Ian, Lynn, Cathie, and June attended  (hope I didn't forget anyone).

The group played Walkin' After Midnight, I'll See You In My Dreams, We'll Sing in the Sunshine, January Wedding, On the Sunny side of the Street, On top of Spaghetti, Blue Hawaii, Jolene, Rain n Snow and, of course, our signature ending song.

If possible we would like to know from those we haven't heard from yet if you can play at the ALC dinner on Dec. 15.  If you are going to the dinner, you need to get your tickets at least a week before the event.  If you don't plan to attend the dinner, there will be dessert and coffee for us after the performance.  Our practice on Wednesday, December 14th will be at the Active Living Centre so we can test a few things out.
