Tom, Lori, Louise, June, Linda, Lana, Cathie, Marge, Judy and Barry attended in the upstairs of the Gallery-- we decided that we liked the intimacy and acoustics of the upstairs, so we will meet there next week as well.

We are singing Come on Ring those Bells and Blame it on the Ukulele at the Sonatrice Concert on Sunday December 3rd.  That is unless we change our mind and do Leaning on the Everlasting Arms that we KILLED last night. We'll meet in the back room of the church at 1:30 to tune-up.

Songs included: Wildflowers by Tom Petty, He'll have to go, This Land is My Land (and most of the 570 verses that Judy made us sing), Country Roads, Annie's Song, I'll See you in My Dreams, Cotton Fields, January Wedding, Red Wing, You Belong to Me, Passin' Through, Leaving on a Jet Plane, Harvest Moon, Walk Away, Angeline the Baker, Hard Times Come Again no More, Saskatoon Moon, Rain and Snow, Cryin Time, Darlin Corey-- and there were probably a few more.  What a great night!!

According to Lynn a lot of gospel songs and House of Gold were played and great fun was had by all. As an aside, our school group plans to perform House of Gold and Feliz Navida at an upcoming entertainment assembly.

Louise, Barry, Linda, Cathy, Judy and Lorna played a couple of Christmas songs as options for the Sonatrice concert, Silver Bells and one that starts, Everybody likes the holidays...

They also played Harvest Moon, Rox in the Box, some CCR songs, Halleluja, Dance Me to the End of Love, Go Lassie Go, Darling Cory, House of Gold and some other songs.

I will forward the two Christmas songs.

Marg also brought a new one, If Fishes Were Wishes, and Barry brought, Wildflowers by Tom Petty.

Hope to see everyone next Wednesday, November 8 at the Gallery. We will discuss whether we have enough people and enough time to prepare two songs for the Sonatrice Christmas Concert on the afternoon of Sunday, December 3.

I had the privilege of assisting Louise work with some younger folk prior to our regular strum as Lorna was unable to make it. The kids were bright and eager to play and it was a lot of fun, although with some of the songs new to me I'm not sure as I was that much help ha ha. I was sorry to miss the regular strum afterward. If anyone remembers any of the songs you played or who attended, let me know.
