Lori, Tom, Cathie, Judy, Louise, and Lana played all sorts of songs-- too many to keep track of and still be able to play and sing.  Some of the songs:  Three LIttle Birds (we're learning it, Barry), I'll Fly Away, He'll Have to Go, I'll See you in my Dreams, Saskatoon Moon, I Like Ukuleles (Louise suggested this could be a homework assignment),  Tom suggested another song that was too high for us to sing-- poor Tom.  We also played: Uncloudy Day, Grow Old with You, Walk Away, etc, etc.

It seems as though there might not be many attending next week, but Louise and Lana will be there.

I have added some more songs that Lana has made arrangements for to the blog. As I'm sure others have found I am finding the song listings on this blog very useful for playing while away on holidays, no need to take along music :)

Judy, Barry, Lynn, Louise, Lana and June played a variety of songs:   Lynn and Louise did a "killer" duet of Rox in the Box.  That could be a performance piece.  Judy didn't suggest Walkin' After Midnight-- she coerced Barry into it.

June introduced us to Saskatoon Moon and Rose Island Song (very appropriate for this time of year)  We also played Passin' Through, I'll See You in My Dreams (getting better), Wagon Wheel, Red Wing, Wish I were in New Orleans, Flowers on the Wall, Farewell to Nova Scotia and a rousing rendition of Cotton Fields.  There were others as well and, of course, our signature set ending song.

We will collect the $5. from everyone for the ice cream on Wednesday, June 7th.

Cathie, Lynn, Lana, and Louise welcomed Judy back from Hawaii. Judy had first pick so naturally we played "Walkin' After Midnight".

We think we may have the final version of I'll See You in My Dreams.   Also played Darlin' Corey, Flowers on the Wall, Life is Like a Mountain Highway and two new Lynn-songs:  Kentucky Home and Wish I was in New Orleans.  Played a lot more too.

We decided that we will all contribute $5. for Ice cream for ice cream cones with red sprinkles for June 11.  Heather will notify Winnipeg, Portage and Brandon.

There was "no Lynn" at  our gathering for the first time since baseball season.  Tom, Lori, Cathie, Lana, Lorna, and Louise attended.  We played a lot of "old standards" and realized that the songs we practiced so long for the ALC concert-- we actually know well.  Go figure-- practice works!

Our June 11 date for our ukulele strum and picnic at Ryall Park has been booked as has the Carman Collegiate theatre and canteen as a backup rain location.

Lana emailed a poster to everyone to review for the invitation to groups for June 11.  Please let Heather or Lana know any additions and Heather will add it to the blog, the group Facebook page and distribute it to each group.

Lana will discuss more details at the March $15 session including the idea that each member contribute $5 toward the event for ice cream.
