We practiced Bring Me Little Water Sylvie and Christmas in Killarney which we played to great applause on Sunday, December 4th at the Sonatrice Singers Christmas Cheer Board concert at the United Church. Thank you to the Sonatrice Singers group for inviting us and congratulations on a festive and entertaining concert showcasing some great local talent.
At our last practice we also played the songs for our upcoming set at the Active Living Concert on Thursday, Dec. 15 which include: Wagon Wheel, Cryin' Time, Love Potion #9, Red Wing, Sentimental Journey, Walkin' After midnight, White Christmas, Winter Wonderland, Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and our signature ending song.
For fun at the end of the evening we played Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song, Dance Me to the End of Love, Wildflowers, Walk Away, My Favourite Things (from the Vancouver Circle Book), You Don't Know Me, I Can't Help Falling in Love, Four Strong Winds, Jolene, and a few others.
We will meet in the gallery again on Wednesday December 7.
Our practice the Wednesday after that, on Wednesday, December 14, will be at the Carman Active Living Centre in preparation for our performance there the next evening. We will be playing at the Active Living Centre on Thursday, December 15, between supper and dessert. For supper tickets (you do not have to attend the supper) see more information here.
