A day and evening full of ukulele playing-- what could be better than that? The concert at the ALC was mostly successful. Harvest Moon still needs strum and timing work, but after a slow start, we finished in style. Ukulele Lady was a HIT!! We ended up with 12 people-- Louise, Linda and her grandson, Evan, Barry and his grandsons, Kelly and Ryan, Tom, Lori, Judy, June, Verna and Lana. It was a great turnout considering we started with five people.
In the evening we played: Amazing Grace, Down in the Valley, Down on the Corner, Leaning on the Everlasting Arms, Leaving on a Jet Plane, You Belong to Me, Stand by Me, Love Potion #9, Wagon Wheel, Rox in the Box, Rain and Snow, Rollin in My Sweet Baby's Arms, I'll See you in My Dreams, Sentimental journey, I Can See Clearly Now, Hard Tines, Someday You'll want me to Want You, House of the Rising Sun, Tonight You Belong to Me, Wabash Canon Ball, Side by Side, Walkin' After Midnight, Sonny's Dream, Can't Help Falling in Love, Song for a Winters night, The Cuckoo and our signature set ending song.- Lana
